Congressman Cunningham Applauds South Carolina Attorney General’s Decision to Join Offshore Drilling Lawsuit

Congressman Joe Cunningham released the following statement in support of South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson’s decision to join the federal lawsuit opposing offshore drilling:

“I applaud the decision of Attorney General Alan Wilson to join the federal lawsuit opposing the Administration’s plans to conduct offshore drilling and seismic airgun blasting. As I have said before, opposition to offshore drilling has bipartisan consensus, and I support the Attorney General’s efforts to protect our vibrant natural resources, environment, and economy from the devasting effects of oil and gas exploration. South Carolinians on both sides of the aisle stand together in opposition to offshore drilling, and I look forward to bringing this fight to Washington.”
